39 days to go!!!! EEEK!

Ok, so the stress has been on! Getting close to the 30-day mark and it's time to pick up the pace! I am LATE on invitations! They would've been out last week, but we ran into a problem. I bought the invites on sale at Hobby Lobby over a month ago and the plan was to print and send. Too bad it's not that easy! The invites would NOT go through the printer! The ones that did sprayed ink everywhere because they are not flat paper. Soooo..after my mom stepping up and taking over, she got them switched out and printed up! This week the goal is to have them out by friday. I am finalizing the guest list as we speak, (you know, using all the proper wording and such!).

A few weeks ago my dress came in and Britt, my mom and I all went over for the first fitting. I tried it on with my handmade bouquet and it looked (and fit) great! Yesterday I went back to get the alterations and bustle ready. My sister and I ran around all day yesterday! After the fitting we were at TJ Maxx to finally end my long look for shower dresses! I have been looking for weeks both in stores and online and have had no look. I wanted dresses under 20, but that just wasn't happening. Finally I found some 30 and below, so I took them! Now all I need (regular clothing-wise) is a nice pair of heels for my showers (and life), a bachelorette dress (white and hot!), and white heels to double as shower shoes and wedding shoes (and of course life shoes!)

Tomorrow I am going with Jamie and Addison to find a flower girl dress for little Addi. Hopefully it won't be too hard!

Friday is cake finalizing day and thank God that I have everything ready for that! Last weekend Britt, my mom, Emily and I all went shopping in Murfreesboro (and me and britt shopped online) for all kinds of wedding stuff! I have almost all of my flowers and decor. Just missing a few things here and there.

What's next? Slideshow and music! ooooo and can't forget the flowers!

This weekend me, Britt, Annie, Christina and Emily are getting away for a Florida relaxation girl's trip! Butttt..I'm going to have to bring wedding stuff because there is still so much to do! Pray for sun because this is my last chance at a tan before the big day! :-)

Rehearsal Dinner..check

So today I met with Brian's mom at the Puffy Muffin in Brentwood and we met with the rehearsal dinner coordinator and the day of wedding coordinator. Both ladies were sweet! I found out that the rehearsal dinner is actually going to take place at my most favorite winery in the world!!! It's located about 10 minutes from where the wedding will actually be, and I don't think Susan knew that it was my favorite, so it was exciting for all of us! WOO!

I've got some new ideas to add to my collection and decor ideas, so that is exciting too.

What's more exciting? I finished a bouquet last night! YAY! I think my whole fam was surprised to actually say they liked it. Everyone had their doubts and thought I was crazy (and I was starting to head that way too), but after seeing it all come together, I know it was the right decision all along! It cost me less than $8 to make a bouquet..and real/fake would be WAY more than that..I also noticed that handmade bouquets similar to this sell for hundreds! May have to try that out after the wedding with my left over fabric!

Well..that's all for now! Until then, we are making flowers and cleaning wine bottles! Keep collecting!

Saturday Stuff

So yesterday was a busy busy day for wedding stuff!

Me and Brian headed to Men's Wearhouse for our 5:30 appointment to pick out tuxes.

Brian was just thrilled about getting his measurements and trying on shoes and jackets. Personally, I felt his shoes looked great with shorts and no socks! LOL

We were able to find exactly what we needed, with the exception of they didn't offer rentals for anyone under the age of 3. :-( So now we have to figure out what we will do about that!
While at Men's Wearhouse another couple was getting their rentals taken care of too! Turns out, they were also getting married October 8! Small world! Me and Lora had a nice chat about wedding stuff..and our guys were even wearing matching red shirts! LOL.

After leaving Men's Wearhouse, we decided to go look at wedding bands at Zale's. Those things are way more expensive than we thought. UGH..everything wedding is just wayyyy too expensive! This is Brian trying on the Cobalt.
Most of their rings were a little too fancy for me..I don't wanna take away from the already beautiful ring Bri gave me for our engagement, so I'm looking for something simple..yet simple is also very expensive! sheesh!

We ended the day with dinner, Toy Story Mania, and wine..great day!

Decorating

Wine bottles. There has to be a DIY project out there to transform empty wine bottles into decorations. I want to use these for the wedding somehow, although I haven't really figured out how I will use them. In the mean time I am saving mine, and if anyone would like to do the same, that'd be awesome!

Moving right along..Food + Video

So I'm a little behind, but that's ok. June 25 my mommy took me and Brian to eat at this little place in Franklin called Stroud's. Apparently the restaurant has catered some event in the past that my parents went to, and they were raving about it. So, me and Brian decided to give it a try and see if it was wedding worthy..

Mmmmmm..we got a plate that would enable us to try out everything they had to offer...

Me and Brian really enjoyed it..so this could be the place that we go with for the food..of course it isn't finalized yet..

More recently I got my act together. Me and Brian put money down for our townhome that I was stressing over and we close on it August 11! CRAZY! Thankfully, he has taken that stress off my shoulders and onto his. I was especially thankful he did this when some very unexpected and shocking news came out. I'm not going to talk about it on here..but it was quite a big bit of stress that I don't have a say in, so it just feels like a weight is on my shoulders that I can't really do anything about..it's times like these that I really wish I could just let stuff go n not worry..UGH!

Even more recently than that, I FOUND A VIDEOGRAPHER!! One of my maids, Jessica, was listening to me vent a few weeks ago about how tough it has been to find a decently priced, good quality video person..I have had 1 person fall through and had trouble keeping in touch with 2 others..or I would find a company that wouldn't be flexible about the paying..Let me break that down real quick..I wanted to pay someone in 3 steps: deposit, wedding day, when I receive the video. I was told by my photographers that they had heard horror stories of people paying for photo/video services and then those services taking the money and running..anyway! so, then there was Jessica..she told me about a friend that she used to work with in Murfreesboro that did videos. I decided to seek him out on facebook and see what he could offer. Well, he allowed me to check out his previous videos..and I found them very interesting, sooo I decided to hire him! He came at a great price and with a great package. I can't wait to see what he does with my wedding! yay!!

STRESS--100 days to go!

So probably the most stressful part of wedding planning so far has recently become...finding a place to live after the wedding. We decided a little while ago that I wouldn't move into where Brian is staying now. I have been on the search for a good place to live, but goooood LORD it is hard! The whole reason we are leaving his place now is because for the price he is paying the place is pretty run down and VERY old.

Originally we were looking in Franklin, Wyndchase at Aspen Grove to be specific. We loved the property and location, butttt there were a million extra fees to add on to rent when we finally got to meet with them, not to mention the sq. ft. of the actual place is teeeniny. :-(

Since then I have looked at all different types of places. We can get somewhere pretty cheap with lots of space..in a not so great area and that is also very old and needs to be rennovated.

The latest? Looking at condos off Nolensville Rd. closer to the area I usually grocery shop in now. It's just a matter of money..Do we want to rent..or are there other options? How tight do we want to live? Will I get a job? Will the money I know I can make be enough if I don't get a job? Whatttt are we going to do about all of this??

Bridesmaid dresses are finally ordered!

Also last Tuesday we put in the bridesmaid order. WOoooo!!!
